Welcome to Andrew Lewis Consulting

Andrew Lewis is a graduate of Bath University, and became a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1985. His experience has been built up in a variety of industries and companies, civil engineering, mechanical and structural design in Aggregates Material Handling, Nuclear Power Plant, Suspension Bridge/Motorway Engineering and more recently residential property. He has many years of experience as a design engineer, project engineer, project management, sales and has been a director of 3 companies, and an owner of 2. He has worked in the USA in Kansas City, and in Europe as the MD of UK operation for a leading Swiss Engineering company, as well as the UK.

In my spare time I am passionate about Hotrods and Harleys.

The Beginning

Structural Design Engineer Bath

In the 1980's he spent time as engineer on the Original Severn Suspension Bridge for Avon County Council as part of essential maintenance and strengthening works. He also spent time as a design engineer for Strachen & Henshaw in Bristol, designing machinery for handling Irradiated Fuel Rods on the Heysham & Torness Nuclear Power Stations.

Much of his career has been spent in the Aggregate Handling and Process Engineering Industry, and has been involved in numerous engineering projects for most major UK clients. Using his experience and expertise in the aggregate handling and process engineering industry, ALC Ltd was formed in 2003. After it was formed, it quickly became a well-established business with a good reputation for reliable and professional structural engineering and project management.

Residential Structure Solutions

A separate division of the business deals with Residential Structural design, trading as Residential Structural Solutions, and provides a service to local residents of the City of Bath who are undertaking structural alterations to their homes.
